History:
Perilla frutescens is a plant that is native to Asia and has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine. In traditional Chinese medicine, perilla frutescens has been used to treat a variety of conditions, including respiratory issues, skin disorders, and digestive problems. In Japan, the leaves of the plant are often used as a seasoning, as well as cooked in traditional dishes, and also used to make tea. The plant is a member of the mint family and is known for its distinctive aroma and flavor.
